Default Looking for FTP hosting.
I'm looking for a host that offers full ftp access.

No ads.

cPanel preferred but not required.

This is for a sms site.

Also, I'd like instant activation and no post to host kind of hosting.

When I was recently looking for a host Awardspace was one that I looked at. They have what you're looking for except cPanel, but they do have an alternative.

I think I've used them and either didn't like their cPanel or they forced ads.

go for a paid hosting, because they do not force any ads on you, it is reliable and secure, and in the long run you will get your money back. Every free hosting has its own disadvantages, trust me, even if they are hardly to spot at the beginning.

I prefer free hosting. There are hosts out there that don't force ads on you and these hosts are also reliable and secure.

What about Netsons.org - The New Internet Experience or Free Hostia: domain hosting and web hosting service

They offer full ftp access. I even think you can make more than one ftp account over at freehostia


I have also been looking for a free FTP host, but not with webhosting.

Like a free online storage I can use as a mirrior for my files without the webserver part. To make a FTP mirror..
