If there was no search engine then probably directories will be more known.

It would become incredibly difficult to find things you wanted and many businesses would lose customers and go out of business because they depend on search engines for people to fin their online store, we depend on them alot though

It will be very time consuming, the internet business would not be so developed because the people would not like to stay in front of the computers to search a lot just for a piece of information, and there will be less traffic to sites, and less money coming from advertisments.

I think it would be forums who might have been in millions..Or discussion boards where people would have been discussing about the sites or informaiton they are looking for..

The internet industry would have been certainly different..
