Is the Google sitemap important to get a high search engine rankings?
There are some people that say that sitemaps has improved their rankings while others say their site is not being indexed as in the past.
What do you think of this?

In my opinion . Google Sitemaps are must as they provide many benefits and to name some they help in better indexing of the site . A sitemap is the map of your site and hence , is required for better crawling .
