I usually don't spend time on this, but I had worked trying to find backlinks for people and took me a couple of hours. I think you can save time if you try looking for similar sites in webmaster forums.

backlinks help a great in increasing the PRs of a site.... so whenever you are making it.... spend some quality time on it!

i dont do as much as i shud tbh, i just spend a hour or so but in a ideal world ide like to spend as much time as possible on gettin them lol
