Default charging too much?

Just wondering is any agrees that most payment gateways charge too much when small amounts of money is transfered. It is not really worth transfering anything less than $5 as paypal take a nice big chunk out of it.

Of course it's worth it. That's what it takes to keep it running so I'm fine with that. Without it I wouldn't be able to do my online transactions so I'm fine with it. It could stand to be a bit lower but it's alright.

Paypal is not ideal for micropayments. For bulk payments, that is where Paypal is advantageous. Egold is a better option for micropayments.

PayPal took away $5 from the $150 I received today. It's a bit much but at least it stops there.

Someone wanted me to do a job for $0.50 one time, and I was going to do it until I noticed that I would have only gotten $0.19 out of it. Not the best of deals, but 2.9% + $0.30 really isn't that bad once you get up to so much. I just wish they would cap the prices off somewhere.

i think moneybooker and e-gold are good at all, there fees are quite affordable, and i am using both with satisfaction, i got full payment from my client into my moneybooker account without any fees..

They should have a minimum or something. Only take money from $10+ transactions.
