I heard little about this. Its obviously good that google also started a payment processor. But I am kind of confused how can we withdraw money in google checkout? Can I access google checkout accout with my google id? I guess I can.

You need to apply for a Google account. One prerequisite is your valid credit card information. If you sign up now you are given a $10 sign up bonus which is consumble to any Google Checkout accredited stores. As of this time, I have yet to encounter an exchanger for Google Checkout funds.

I don't know. I've just find out they started a payment processor, which is extremely good for Adsense users I think.
I haven't tried it yet, but I'm curious what will happen with PayPal and this new payment processor.

Google Checkout is a little low in front of paypal and e-gold. Both paypal and e-gold have big markets. Google Checkout is just a starter and Google launched it in competition to Yahoo joining hands with Paypal. I dont understand why google is jealous of everyone and wants to starts every service on Google.

I think Google Checkout is also aiming to be like paypal and will someday offer better services with relatively less fees.

I think that Ckeckout is only available in the US if I am not mistaken.
If it becomes international I think that it will be a threat to paypal.

I don't think they'll be a threat, especially if PayPal becomes international. A lot of people have PayPal. It'll take a lot of work to bump them.

If? PayPal merchant accounts are available in 14 countries, and about 103 other countries do some other financial transaction, often in the local currency.

Google Checkout is not a direct PayPal competition at this time.

Google Checkout is more like a credit card merchant account with special shopping cart software, and robust network.

PayPal actually stores funds "at PayPal". Google Checkout uses one's merchant account.

If as in available in more countries. They're leaving out some important ones that would make them money. It'd be a smart move to include India and Turkey, etc.
