Default Google Adsense - does everyone get accused of clickfraud?

I manage a travel based website. Our traffic is very low (less than 100 uniques a day) but we get a decent click rate (15-20 per 100) so we make a buck or two from adsense. Twice google has contacted us essentially accusing us of suspicious clicks.

Is this standard for them? We never visit the site - so every click in there is legit. Is there any way for me to prove to them it's not bogus clicks?

I like the format of adsense and am building another site - would appreciate any thoughts.

The problem with adsense is a competitor could in theory sabotage you by visiting your page and repeatedly clicking on your ads, thereby triggering a Google red flag. I have heard numerous horror stories about Google closing accounts and seizing money for this, and I can't understand why the can't come up with a better system to combat click fraud.

i was never accused of it, i read up on software such as adlogger where you can manage how many times people can click yours ads then after that amount is hit it shows a different code. you can also block ips so they dont see any ads at all, might be worth trying out

I'm not really sure how to combat this. I replied to them saying that all traffic was original. I don't ask people to click -- it just happens that the ads are very relevant to the topics so the CTR is pretty high.

Anyone reccomend a similar type ppc plan that pays as well?

i have been accused of clickfraud, since my clickrate is quiete low (2-4 %).

i have heard that google record your moves on your pages, so they track if you click your own ads

If they send a mail for clarification you have to be cautious. Otherwise google will ban you without notice.

I think you should think twice before playing with google. Usually they ban small publishers without any chances fo getting them reinstated, but it also happens that they may ban serious and big publishers if it proves that they have broke their tos. It is very risky.

I all that time that I have used Adsense on my websites, I have never ever received an email from Google about click fraud. I honestly believe that nearly all the people who get accused of click fraud are in fact guilty of it.

They accuse a lot of people when their account suddenly gets an incredible increase in revenue. I've never been accused of it though.
