Default Replacing Google

Does anyone here think that a smaller search engine will ever be able to replace Google and take the top search engine spot any time in this decade or the next ? Google seem to be aggressively owning up everything that's of interest to surfers be it youtube or facebook or money making with adsense and adwords. Who can compete with that ? Any hopes of the smaller ones to beat the master in times to come ?

Never ever.

Google did come after like Yahoo and them. However it beat them and still as a massive lead. They are so rich they would just buy anyone whos a threat out.

I agree with William. Google will always be number one.

However it is not impossible, you would need something amazing and the funds to be able to overcome Google.

It could happen. However I doubt it will ever happen. Like everyone as said Google will just buy them out. It would take someone who is not greedy to sucseed.

Google is staying where it is.

Unless someone blows up all it's offices and servers. Google is remaining the best search engine.
