How many links do you tend to have on your links page?

A common school of thought is that the more outgoing links you have, the less Page Ranking you are passing, so it is better to have several pages with a handful of links on each, rather than one big links page.

What do you think?

for running a successful directory you need to have 20 links per page. I think same goes with websites too.

it is true that the more outgoing links u have the lesser the Page Ranking...but if they link back then it is as godd

P.S. Use only backlinks that are relevant to the content of your web page

by using links that are related to your content , you get better ranking in search engines , but you can as well create a page called partners and in robots.txt you can leave that page out of the indexing , or just use the rel=nofollow .. so you can get more links on your site and not be penalized

Well you are still passing some pagerank to those websites so if you have a good Page Ranking page it doesnt really matter lol. If you check your backlinks that PR4 page with 100 links and one being yours will count as a PR4 backlink to you

I limit my links to no more then 6 or so for external links. I also tend to use NOFOLLOW for reference links.

I place 10 links per page in my directory. I think that's better than flooding one single page.

I keep all my links in one links page. I think it's better because it's easier to manage it that way.
