How much time do you spend in looking for link exchange partners, contacting them and negotiating? Personally I not really into looking for sites to exchange with. I prefer link submissions and buying one way links.

I can't even find time to POST in my blog, let alone trying to promote it and find link partners!! I'm running on the theory that if your content is good enough, then the search engines will bring in the traffic, and people will start linking to you. No... It's not working out very well...

Too funny! Nobody is going to find your blog if you don't promote it! You have to get onto sites like digg and start promoting yourself!

Link exchange is an important way to promote your site and start receiving traffic especially for new site every new site it takes around 2 hours every day for a one month

One Way Links are way better then Link Exchanges . So, personally I emphasise on getting one way links but If someone contacts for a LE and if a site is good then I go for a LE .
Again , One way links are better than Link exchanges .

Before I engage myself in link exchange, I first develop my site's content and improve its traffic. I find it difficult to exchange link with sites with higher Page Ranking if my site has a low PR unless I have to pay for my site to get listed.

I use to spend almost no time, now lately it's several hours a day. I think I will start spending a few hours a week max.

I spend absolutely no time looking for these. I generally just browse certain select forums and get ahold of those talking about things that interest me.
