Lightbulb Adwords Hurting

Will it hurt my adwords ranking if I change header information based on user ad click?

I am using Google adwords to attract customers to my site. The adwords allows me to choose the url of the domain users click on. I might have a url that is www.mysite.com?NewYork

With the string ?NewYorkCity or ?Manhasset from the adwords clicked url I am able to display a speciifc message for that customer. I'm able to create a custom message that says - "We deliver to New York City" or "We deliver to Manhasset".

The question is whether Google would lower the site ranking becuase I'm using the string for more than simple tracking, but also for serving specific, relevant content.

I've neither heard nor read anything to suggest this is likely.

As a general rule, of course, you want to stay away from tailoring your page to display one version to "robots" and another to human beings to the greatest extent possible.

However, since many websites show the date and time on their pages, it seems clear that a minor variation will be overlooked by SE's when calculating search results.

Hope this helps.
