Google Backlinks vs Yahoo Backlinks

I was just using some tool online to check the backlinks to my site. and I found that it is

Google : 150
Yahoo 350,000+

how can there be such a difference?

Google only shows a very small sample of your links when using the links: command. It is not that they don't see them all. It is just that they are not showing them. Yahoo has by far the most complete showing of links.

yes lennyp is right this you can say might be the draw back of the google
but such a vast difference is really an amazing thing

its seems nothing different. google might having small link regading ur search......

Hi,
There is a huge difference between Google and Yahoo back links because Google uses back links so much to rank web sites in it's index.

Most of yahoo?s serps are showing relevant results for the keywords I am using. A site with the definition to the letter "N" showed up before relevant sites about the keywords I was using.

So you can see a much higher difference with Yahoo than Google.

Yahoo! loves to index any and every page. lol Google sticks to indexing relevant and quality pages.

Google uses back links so much to rank web sites in it's index.
I think that is why , their is a difference seen. Moreover , i think Yahoo likes to index each page.

yahoo counts as a back link every comment that you left in wordpress with your url, and also forum signatures, this is the reason for such huge difference.
But 350 k is still a lot i can not figure out, how did you get so much.
what's your page Page Ranking rank?

Why google recognises only a few backlinks for a site and ignore majority of backlinks? Please advise

i have noticed too that yahoo gives me much more backlinks. msn gives me almost the same number.

but the google links are perhaps 1/10 of that amount
