Default Why can I no longer find my site with searches?

I have been running my PR2 site since last June.
Since about last weekend, if I do a google search using suitable search words, I can no longer find my site , it usually appears within the first few sites on the 1st page.
Has anyone any ideas as to what may have happened? And also what I need to do to put things right?

Maybe your site got banned from search engines. They do that for having link farms, a lot of irrelevant inbound links, etc.

Either your website has lost its rankings or completely deindexed from the google search engine. You can try the following to see if it has just lost the rankings or completely deindexed from google.

Type site:www.yoursite.com in google and see if it returns with a listing of your site. If it is not there then probably your website is banned from google search engine.
