Default Gmail ditches invite

Do you think that the fact that registering for a gmail account no longer requires an invite will help Gmail to beat Hotmail for the number of users?

Definitely! I think Gmail already beat Hot Mail even there were still requiring an invite. Gmail is the best mail provider program I've ever encountered so far.

It really doesn't matter if Gmail requires and invite or not. Gmail just rocks!

Ofcourse GMail is better than hotmail. Look at the space the user face and most off all, less ads! Google always will beat Microsoft at online services.

I think it will become even more popular. It should overtake the others. I actually prefer the Yahoo interface (the old one) than Google. There are some things that bother me about Gmail, but I'm sure there are just things I don't know how to do with it.

I think so. GMail is pretty popular. A lot of sites use this as their contact e-mail.

Gmail is better than any other mail service providers that I've tried. Google beats them, with or without invites.

No one can beat 3 gig of space that is given to anyone for free. Gmail is the best!

I like Gmail because of huge storage space and the wonderful thing is that the space is constantly increasing, whenever you see the mainpage of Gmail, it keeps going up and up. It looks like Gmail has now officially launched, previously they were in beta mode.
