Does anyone have any idea when the next pagerank update is due? I just completed a redesign of one of my bigger sites, and I'm trying to fgure out how much time I have to blitz getting some more backlinks. I'd really like to hit Page Ranking 6 this time around...

well , when you've redesigned your site and if , and i say IF , you have taken it from ground zero , it's like starting a new site ..

The changes were mostly cosmetic - although the layout has been made more search engine friendly - less junk, more keyword rich, which should help positioning.

All the pages are still there, and the links are still active, so I don't expect much page rank change from the redesign. I'm mostly just curious to know if I have a few months before the update - and have a chance at getting some links in that time, or if its only a short time away and I shouldn't get my hopes up

page rank updates occur every 3 months or so ... but if you say you've just simply redesigned , you're ok
