I have some techiques to promote my online business to the local people, but i'm always looking for more.

Some of the ones i use are:
T-shirt with website name
Printed papers left on coffe shops, center malls, schools
mouth to mouth of course

Can you recomend any others ?

I have see people placing fancy tattoos on there vehicles to promote there site, though it looks so much cool ,but not sure if that really helps that much!

i guess that if you have a really good domain name you can try this techniques, but is very hard otherwise. For instance, it is easy to write Gogal.com on your short but very hard to write www.buyandsellfurniturehere.com

You could offcourse paint your house... but I find the absolute best way to marketing mouth to mouth and discussions at forums. If you get satisfied costumers (let's just say you have a comersial website), they will often tell others about your site at the net. There's no advertsing as good as a good reputation at the net. No matter how much you advertise online, if you don't have a good reputation, you'll never get really popular.
