Promoting a Fansite

I have recently opened few fansites of different celebrities and all of them contain unique articles (like biography, career etc). Now I want to know what could be the best method to drive traffic to these type of sites. Thanks in advance for any help.

Here's a good question. I've opened a fan site to the lovelly Eva Mendes and I already get some traffic but I'd also like what's the best way to show my website to this Goddess fans.

Go to other fan sites and ask them to exchange links or buy links from them.

i think that promoting through blogs and communities would bring you many new visitors.

Find other fan sites about the people and leave comments if possible with your url at the end.

Register and forums that share the same interest in the fansite person and make lot of quality posts there with your site in your signature.

the most efficient method is to optimise it such that you appear in top 10 on google; if you can t rank for the main keywords, optimise it for several secondary keywords, this will attract traffic and you can start building on it.

another method would be to do some link exchange with similar sites, usually this works well. google the best sites for your specific keyword, for instance for britney spears and then contact them and try to obtain a back link.

The best way is to just get your site out there at places where they are already talking about the focus of your site. Things like blogs, forums, and MySpace. Don't just spam but contribute instead and drop your link at the same time.
