Join various forums and add ur blog..

Put labels for each post so that it comes in searches and ur indexed pages get increased!!

Link dropping in forums is a good way to advertise for free and get back links. But they are often considered as spam.

I use links in signatures in related forums - that doesn't necessarilly count as a backlink, but you can get OK traffic from it, and there's less risk of it being labelled as spam.

No they do count as backlinks and they do not count as spam, they are part of the signature of a member, shows up in every post, doest count as part of the post and only the post can be counted as spam
