Default Mass Email

Do selling ad space on mass email help getting money for the person sending it? And does it really help the person advertising get traffic?

I've seen people do this but always wondered how it helps them.

It makes money for the person selling it and brings in traffic for the person buying it. I don't know how effective it can be though because not a lot of people read newsletters or other e-mails from sites. They go ignored.

If you have a large opt in mailing list then I see little problem with running ads in it. If your users asked for the emails, then there is a chance at least some of them will actually read them.

I've ran some ads in my mailing list (when I had one) and did OK from them.

Unsolicited mass email has become an enormous problem on the Internet, affecting users and ISPs alike. Users who are unable to check and purge their mailboxes on a frequent basis can find their disk quotas filling fast; providers are dedicating resources disporportionately to processing the volume of unwanted email and to helping users cope with it.

Its possible that it could be classified as SPAM. Don't buy such packages before investigation. A good way of email marketing is to advertise at Yahoo groups. It cant be classified as SPAM because people have opted to receive emails.

I do not think that this kind of emails work because it is usually classified by spam by all webmail programs.
For me it is a lost of time.
