Buying Traffic - What's the use?
I has seen a lot of companies selling massive traffics to websites. What do buyers get from this? I suppose those traffic will not generate that much income, will they?

You wont make any money from them as your site usually shows up in a pop, thats how they generate the traffic. I never seem the point in this myself.

I second what Ericsson says - most of the time you're just getting an extra number in your server log, nothing else - its rare that anyone will really bother to look at your page. I'd focus on more legitimate ways of getting traffic. If something promises crazy figures, its probably too good to be true.

Well you can use the traffic as a good thing to sell some advertising space but I would never trust those big companies to give me huge traffic, not really natural

Well, it’s unfortunate because so many of these companies exists and they never delivery. They will often have a very small stream of traffic and oversell it to the max. I’ve seen times where I would buy a 10k hit package for a 30 day run and get probably 2 hits a day if that. There are very few legitimate options IMO but if you can find one, it would be a great source of traffic. If however you decide to go down that route, you should know that regardless of what many of them advertise, they will almost never convert.

I have bought traffic packages in the past with limited success. For the successes that I have had, the site that was promoted was offering a free membership to these people visiting the sites. Whether or not I actually made any revenue from these paid promotions is questionable.
One thing you do have to be careful about as well is the source of their traffic. There are alot of sites selling a huge amount of traffic from autohit traffic exchanges - in general, no one is actually sitting there watching these autohit sites - rather they turn it on and walk away.
Just remember - if the deal seems way too good to be true it probably is not worth spending the money.

Well if you have good traffic you wont need to use these programs, my forum gets just several thousand unique visitors a month without ever using these programs -- just do it naturally, advertise your own way, like i said before, buying traffic is pretty unnatural

Buying your way through artifical traffic is no good. Its much better to generate traffic through link exchanges and paid links. I prefer both the methods.

Lol thats what i keep telling people, but not all of them listen to me, these methods are very unnatural and those people that come arent really interested in your site, just interested in gaining something in return
