How often should I submit my site to search engines?
Should that be done on a weekly or monthly bases?

It should not be too often if you do not want to get banned.I think that if the search engines know your site very well then you should not be bothering about submitting your site again and again.

Once the search engine people recogonise your site its better adviced to reduce the amount you used to give them before as the probability of getting banned is high

Personally , I never submitted any of my site to search engines . Keep working on getting content and links and you will be picked up automatically for sure .
content and links will also help in better ranking .

I only submit once and then just build some good links to my site. I also go for paid submission service especially to high Page Ranking sites.

There are more changes to increse your traffic in monthly submission.So i suggest that you should go for this only.

Never, the best thing to do is buy a one way link from a PR7 site and let the search engine find it themselves. This will not take long at all, you can find sites via ebay or the webmaster forums.

I only submit my site(s) once, I doubt submitting multiple times would necessarily help.
