Default MySpace Bulletins

Do you think advertising on MySpace Bulletins is worth trying? I know a lot of people are doing this but I never tried it myself. Has anyone here ever tried that?

I heard it's one of the cheapest way of getting traffic for your website. It's also effective for teen targeted subjects such as gaming.

It's very cheap! You don't get any cheaper than FREE!!

I've tried it and haven't had very good results. There is so much spam in the bulletins on myspace that I think lots of them get deleted because they look like spam.

You would really have to make an effort to advertise in such a way that your friends would know it was from you personally and not someone that had hacked into your myspace account.

It would have to be targeted to teens - since teens are the majority of people that are using myspace! It's hard to find anyone at myspace that is over 30!

If you have a good network, Myspace is a potential source of traffic. But for your marketing to be effective, you must place your ads on Myspace that conforms with your desired targetted traffic.

While some myspace pages do have Page Ranking value, I can't imagine it really has that much value from the traffic standpoint.

Yeah it USED to be worth it. Now though, there is just too many people who are aware of what the ads are and what aren't the ads. There's no real 'slick' ways to get people to be led into clicking the links, etc.
