I just want you to know guys, that some registrars are selling domain names for a price, and they dont tell anywhere what is the renewal price.

I have to let you know about one im unfortunately with them:

NetFirms

They offer domain names for 4.95 dollars.

But this is onyl the first year, the next one is for 9.95 dollars.

If you know about other registrar that do that without correctly letting know the users about the renewal price, please let us know.

Are you locked in at Netfirms? Is registration something you're locked into with the original firm?

No, you can transfer to any site if you want. But thats its not something a domainer like me will have time to do.

Yes they change it to the higher price to make up for selling to you at the lower price. That is not uncommon when you are getting some cheaper that you end up paying more anyways. You should of just went with godaddy.com if you were going to pay that a month anyway. It's more known stable of a site as a whole as well I think it's a tad cheaper then that.
