Default Page Ranking by Accident?

Have you ever registered a new domain which you didn't know has a Page Ranking?

lol No. If it hasn't even been registered how would it get a Page Ranking? Have you had that happen?

Jerlene, It is possible if the domain previously had Page Ranking and was expired later on. I am hunter of expired domains with PR. So far I have found few expired domains with PR but only with a maximum PR4.

If you register a domain that had previously expired then you are not registering a new domain. It is not possible for a new domain to have Page Ranking.

Even if you register it, its not worth it.

They will give you PR0 on next update

Even still, you could sell it before that happens!

It is possible to maintain the Page Ranking if it still has links pointing to it. The trick is to build the new site in the same category as the old one. After that you will need to maintain the same level of links.

I have never registered a domain name with a Page Ranking.
Also why would you let a domain name with a high Page Ranking expire as they'd be worth heaps.

Well honestly I can say that I haven't. But when trying to purchase a domain name I usually look for the Page Ranking, because it comes up when I am checking back links and any other history the site has before I decide to purchase it. Also a good thing to do before you buy a domain is to check the appraisal on any site the one that I use is leapfish.com
