I suggest getting a really high Page Ranking and then you'll have people wanting to buy freatured ads for $40 a pop.. that's the best way if you ask me.

Bidvertiser is good if you're sick of selling ads. Their rates are good so run that and test it out, if not, AdSense.

I find that Adsense can do very well on a directory. Since alot of people go to it and you place it in the right place you can get alot of clicks!
