Default Are you an editor of DMOZ?

Hey,

Ive applied to become an editor may a time at DMOZ but have never had a reply. is any one here a editor, if so how much work does it takes as im thinking of possibly appying again.

Don't apply again. They don't really like or pay attention to multiple applications, just like when you submit your site to their directory(or any directory for that matter).

Don't waste your time. If your main intention is to have your sites listed in DMOZ thru your volunteer service as DMOZ editor, I don't think it is going to work. I am talking based on actual feedback by some DMOZ editors .

Dmoz sure takes time to accept new editors.Remember that they take up to six months to add your site.Now think of editors.

And the reason for this is the lack of editors and an overwhelming response to submission and application for becoming an editor.

I used to be an editor, and like many others I lost my position soon after expressing my frustration with DMOZ.

lmao That would be king. No one really works for free anymore, not unless it's for a huge company that they can brag they work for.
