Do you think it is worth paying to be listed in yahoo directory? How much traffic can increase can this generate as compared to just depending on organic listings in yahoo search resuts?

I wouldn't dream of paying for it. For one theres no guarantee that it will be accepted; I would rather spend the money on lots of other directories with a high Page Ranking.

Well they can give you a good Page Ranking backlink since most of their inner pages have PR, but its $300 a year, its crazy, I can never afford that.

There was a point where yahoo focused heavily on it's directory content and it was worth every cent, now unless you have an overall marketing budget, don't bother.

If you are tight on your budget then I wont suggest you to submit your site to yahoo directory as you can get some good strong backlinks for that price BUT yahoo directory is really good as it also provides the traffic and other directories dont really provide the traffic . So , its worthed but you can get more links for that price .

I'd never pay to list my directory there. If I need traffic I just buy paid listings because it works better.

i would never pay for this. I submitted my for free and it ended up working out great. There are a lot of ways to get traffic and i would never pay someone to list my site.

There are people who claims that paying for yahoo directory help you to get in Yahoo results but I do not know how much of this is true.
