Just wondering what the normal rates are for dedicated servers. My host offers it for almost $2,000 a year. Seems kind of expensive but I know dedicated servers are expensive. I just don't know how much.

Is $2k too expensive? If not, what is the normal rate?

It really depends on the specifications. But I came across a reliable web host provider which offers $30 monthly rate for a dedicated server. The catch is you have to pay at least a year.

What's the host? The 2k I mentioned earlier is a yearly rate. I'd only buy a dedicated or VPS by the year.

Normal rates are between 35-60 for a moderate dedicated servers.But if you need very good server it changes the prices.

Before you go with dedicated try semi dedicated servers.
