I have a gaming forum as some of you may know but i have done something unorthodox, to give out some free domains lol, its really off topic but i have had suggestions from my members to do that, you think it was a good idea? the announcement can be found in the following topic, review that and tell me if i did anything wrong

I think its a good idea but you could add a refferal competition for one of the doamins. So it is the user that has reffered the most new users to the forum that have posted ten times. This will then increase activity in your forum aswell as new members that might stick around.

Well I am giving out 150 points for each referral, so that should help a lot, it'll be better than getting 200 referrals before winning a contest But thanks for suggestion. Appreciate it.

i think it's a really good idea! I see that a lot of other forums online does the same to get members. It really works, because there is always need for domains, and some people just don't want to buy them or simply does not have a credit card. Really good idea!
